Tubridgi Gas Facility – Wellhead Flowlines

Project Overview:

The Tubridgi Gas Storage Facility project involved welding and coating flowlines to connect the facility’s processing infrastructure with five wellheads. Spanning two flowlines of 5 km and 10 km each, the project supported the operational efficiency of Australia’s largest gas storage facility. Altrad (formerly Valmec) was engaged by DBP Development Group to deliver these critical works within an accelerated schedule and challenging environmental conditions.

Scope:

Altrad’s scope of work included:

  • Welding and coating of two flowlines (5 km and 10 km in length).
  • Connection of five wellheads to the Tubridgi Gas Storage Facility processing plant.

Outcomes:

  • Successfully completed welding and coating works within the 15-week timeframe, adhering to the client’s fast-tracked schedule.
  • Fast-Tracked Schedule: Coordinated construction activities around planned drilling works and ramped up manning and trade support to meet the client’s tight timeline.
  • Environmental Challenges: Mitigated risks associated with cyclones, flooding, and harsh environmental conditions through adaptive execution strategies.
  • Remote Location: Overcame resource constraints, including accommodation shortages, by optimising workforce logistics and project planning.
  • Delivered high-quality flowlines that enhance connectivity and operational reliability at the Tubridgi Gas Storage Facility.
  • Reinforced Altrad’s reputation for reliability in delivering pipeline projects under challenging conditions.
