We’ve come a long way since establishing ourselves as a specialised scaffolding subcontractor Down Under in 1989.
As the industry has changed, so have we; growing into new areas and evolving to become one of Australia’s most recognised providers of expert construction and integrated maintenance solutions.
Our commitment to enhancing services and growing our offering took a leap forward in 2007, when we acquired a series of West Australian businesses while operating under Cape PLC. These acquisitions broadened our service offerings, our local knowledge and, importantly, allowed us to secure major projects with industry leaders such as Alcoa, BP, and BHP.
In 2021 and 2022, we furthered our reputation as a reliable pillar of our clients’ operations by acquiring established Perth-based companies Valmec, RMD, and AusGroup (AGC), respectively. These acquisitions not only broadened our client base but enhanced our ability to deliver fully integrated services across Australia’s most critical sectors, empowering our clients’ business potential.

1989
Altrad Australia established
We established operations and began to expand our services across the nation’s industrial sectors, laying our foundations for future growth.
1997
Establishment of AltradSkills, Altrad Australia’s RTO
We launched our Registered Training Organisation to develop skilled specialists and support long-term workforce capability across Australia.
2007
Acquisition of Total Corrosion Control (TCC), Perth Construction Hire, and Concept Hire
With strategic acquisitions, we strengthened our service offering to broaden our reach, expertise and enable further growth.
2021
Acquisition of Valmec and RMD
We welcomed Valmec and MRD into the Altrad Group, boosting our capabilities in energy infrastructure, construction, and asset lifecycle management.
2022
Integration of Kwinana Fabrication Facility
A landmark 50,000 sqm fabrication facility in Kwinana, operating since 1950, became part of Altrad’s national network. The site strengthens our ability to deliver large-scale, complex project builds with speed, scale, and precision.

Acquisition of Sparrows, AGC Industries and MAS Australasia
With the addition of Sparrows, AGC Industries and MAS Australasia, we expanded our national footprint and deepened our mechanical, access, and lifting services.
